Loss of my father two weeks before I was due
    Hello everyone,
I lost my father earlier this year two weeks before I was due to give birth. The paramedics were called to him on the night he passed away as he was unconscious and my mother could not wake him. As it was a diabetic coma, the paramedics brought him round, yet however to my shock they did not ask him whether he wanted to go into hospital and put on the paperwork that he had refused. Later that night, he sadly passed away. A post mortem was performed and it was established that he had a heart attack.
I am really struggling to come to terms with his death as we were extremely close and what haunts me is that he was a recovering alcoholic and had not had a drink for three weeks. However, I was most distressed to hear that his alcohol counsellor did not tell him that with the amount that he was drinking it was extremely dangerous to stop drinking all of a sudden as it can lead to the heart stopping to work.
Please would anyone be able to offer me some advice that would help me in coming to terms with this? It would all be very much appreciated.
    Thanks
