    Funeral Equitete for divorced Parents
I have been divorced for many years and our youngest child is now 8. Recently, a very close relative passed away and the children are taking it very hard. The memorial service will be at church. My question is at the memorial service where is the proper place for the father of the children to sit? Usually, the immediate family sit in the first few rows however a gentleman I have been dating feels he should be able to sit there with his children. If that happens, then my children's Dad will not be sitting there and my concern is they will want the comfort of their Dad during this difficult time. What is the proper way to handle this situation?

Why can't your ex sit on the other side of your children? I don't think you should come between your children and their father during this time. Maybe sit like this...

Your BF children, your boyfriend, you, your children, your ex/their Dad.

That way, you are all able to sit together and the support will be there if your children need their Dad.

Its good to be concerned about this. You are being a wise Mom. :)

    Much sympathy.
