    What color should I have?
I have fair skin, bright blue eyes, and my natural hair color is a dirty blonde.
As of right now my hair is a golden blonde, but I feel like it makes me look kind of washed out.

What color should my hair be based off my skin color and eye color?

Blue Eyes – Cool Skin Tone

Choose hair colors with the words “ash” or “cool.” Try base shades of intense browns (no red undertones), blacks, and blondes. For added contrast, apply subtle highlights of wheat, honey, or ash shades.

Blue eyes sparkle like gems framed by platinum to ash blonde hair. Think Reese Witherspoon. A quick rule of thumb when going blond is that if your desired look is three shades lighter than your natural color, it's best to leave the work up to a professional. You don't want to end up looking orange like a pumpkin. Is your best hair color only a couple shades lighter? Try an at-home blonde hair color kit.

A stunning contrast is dark chocolate brown or black locks, fair skin, and piercing blue eyes. You'll be amazed at how your eyes pop. The darker shade also covers up any gray hairs, taking years off your look. A couple of celebrities sporting this gorgeous style are Megan Fox and Courtney Cox. Learn how to achieve the look at home or visit a salon.

Blue Eyes – Warm Skin Tone

Select hair colors with the words “gold,” “honey,” or “beige.” For base shades, try dark golden brown, golden blonde, chestnut, or auburn. For depth and drama, add streaks of red or cinnamon as highlights.

Flaming red hair sets off blue eyes. The look is exotic, yet mysterious. People are fascinated by it. Nicole Kidman is a natural beauty with this combination. Strawberry blondes with blue eyes almost always get second looks.

If you're a fair-skinned, light brunette, pick honey or copper brown hair colors. Add light red highlights to help emphasize the sapphire in your eyes. The best hair color for your own, unique eyes will give your looks a lift!

I have naturally medium brown hair. I have always looked better with blonde hair, and I went to salons for years to have my hair colored. I can no longer afford the $100+ visits every 3 weeks, so I have tried doing it myself. Recently I used Color Zap to remove all color (because I had several...
