I want to get rid of acne scars!!
It seems as though all the posts I read on different sites are focusing on products that are great but they are used to "lighten" the skin. I am a coffee colored af. Am. Female and I must say I would never want to lighten my skin to be a whole different complexion. I just want to fade the few acne scars that I have on my face are that are darker than my regular tone. What is a good product to do just that? I just recently stopped smoking also so whatever products you guys know of that helps reverse smoking effects would be great too. Thanks:p

You can use skin lightening products on just the spots. That's what these products are usually meant for.

Ive always wonder the same thing.. But Ive learned that the only way to get rid of your acne scar without changing your skin color is laser procedure.

Dab lemon juice on the scars at night and wash it off in the morning.

I personally use baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) as a gentle scrub on my blemishes. Got this tip off the net. It dried up my pimples, get rid of blackheads and is a good skin exfoliator. It may be drying to some skin... so be prepared to moisturize your skin afterwards.

    First of all
Do not lighten your skin, this is a ridiculous idea!

My name's Emily, I have just turned 16 and I suffer with very bad acne spots.
Mine are usually irrupting on my cheeks a few on my forehead and a couple on my chin
I don't get huge clumps of them at once, but as soon as one batch goes, another comes along. So I constantly have them. But what makes them look even worse is because acne isn't just a spot on top of the skin, it's to do with hormones underneath you get scars even if you don't pick them.

    But first of all..

If you are looking to improve the appearance of acne scars then I would highly recommend *Bio Oil* This can be found at chemists, or boots. It is quite pricey.
Around £10 for a large bottle, but trust me, it is soooo worth it!

But if it is acne spots that your looking to help reduce, then it would have to be "bicarbonate of soda" that I recommend.

All I do is get a small container and put a table spoon of the bicarbonate of soda into the container and mix in with warm water until it is a smooth paste. Rub the paste all over the face, but not the neck, and rinse well with warm water. Only do this once a day otherwise your skin will loose it's natural oils and may cause another break out.

I have been doing this for about 2 weeks, and they are not as angry anymore. The redness is going down, and I am a lot calmer with spots off my mind.

I really hope these options help because I know exactly what it is like having acne spots!
I hate them, they are cruel and horrible.
For both girls and boys all I can say to you is
Girls don't plaster your skin with make-up. Try and let your skin breath.
If you are still looking to cover up your skin effectively, then use a tinted moisturiser.

If you have acne. I would really recommend you trying some of these options, they can really help, no one should be depressed everyday just by some skin condition.

    Lots of love
    And best wishes
    Emily

Okay, there's a simple cure for those.
I had the same problem; I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed me this cream called RETIN-A.
    It works really well.
Caution though I does dry out your skin.

My boyfriend goes to a dermatologist and was told the best way o rid himself of the scars would be to:

    A) Get rid of the acne itself; if you have horrible acne that won't go away with anything they may put you on Acutane, which is a very serious acne medications- you must take a celibacy pledge to take it if you are female!

    B) They will then give you laser treatment. Laser treatment is the most definite way to rid yourself of these scars.

The BEST thing to do is go see your local dermatologist, he will have the best answer for you. Good luck!

Use ponds flawless white for a week and you will find your marks reduce! It'll take at least a month or two for them to completely disappear.. though depends on the severity of the marks.. but I'm sure it works!

Ponds spotless cream is best it fades all pigmentation within 2-3weeks but if your skin is acne prone it won't be best option ,for that u can make paste of turmeric and neem powder this combo will start making clear from the 1st month itself but you have to be patience ,well me personally apply this and had very good results moreover I just to drink the powder of turmeric and neem as well ,so that kills my acne roots from within.Simple!!
