    Going Red.trying to.
I went from my natural dark (ick) blonde to a medium golden brown. I recently slapped on an app of Garnier Nutrisse's "Sweet Pepper", and at first it was JUST the color of red I wanted... a very dark, mahogany-type red. Five days later, it is washing out a bit and I don't like the lighter red too well.

Does anyone have recommendations for achieving the dark, rich red that I desire? I have access to professional colors that I can mix myself.

If it helps, I'm 39 with pale skin and blue/green eyes; I look 10-15 years younger. I am using John Frieda's shampoo and conditioner for red hair, but every time I shower a little more red goes down the drain.

Don't get skeered by the lack of make-up.

This red is too light... any ideas?

Red hair color fades faster than any other shade. Try coloring your hair with a permanent color that's fade defying. To keep your red color from fading, you can use color enhancing shampoos and conditioners. You should choose hair products that are designed for red hair. This will enhance and refresh your hair color.
