Bleaching out Black Hair (( Concerned about metallic dyes))
Ok well I'm big on dying my hair a lot I bleach and dye my hair a lot mostly to change my undercolor well I'm going to be starting a new project on my hair and I just wanted to know how much of a risk am I taking by bleaching out black dye? My hair is currently black w/ blonde underneath and blue tips.

P.S-I will not have my hair done in a salon. It's cut dyed and bleached my me and me only. The only other person who dyes my hair is my friend Jen.

    Here's my plan haha.
    1-Bleach out all color
    2-Dye all hair strawberry blonde
3-Dye 3in to my underhair black
4- put 3 1inblack stripes on each side of my head and 2 in the back
5-small highlight style purple strips in the showing blonde area inbetweent he sections of black
6-Dye the two temples streaks of hair purple
7-Add random strioped of small black and purple throughout my hair

If you keep bleaching and stripping you hair, especially without the help of a professional, you could end up with no hair, or very damaged hair at the very least. I understand that you like to change up your look, but if you want to change your colors that often, and you are doing it yourself, you should be using wash out or temporary colors.

I don't do it, all that often it's only been bleach out once or twice usuall I just dye ober my undercolor. Except the last time I just wanted it blonde so bleac hwas my only choice. It's been totally black for about 6 months now, before that it was burgandy for 2 months and for about 2 yrs before that straight black. So all I want to know is what risk am I taking by bvleaching out the black I'm well aware of the damage risk but my hair is in great shape and I know it can handle the bleach but I do fear about the metallic dye problem because of the black in my hair.

Black hair - used other dyes - ColorZAP - Will it work? [ 1 Answers ]

Hi. I dyed my hair from dark brown to black a while ago. Since then, I've tried lighting it with other lighter brown hair dyes. Well, now I know that doesn't work. It just turned my roots orange. What I would like to know is if I use ColorZAP will it still work even though I've tried dying it...
