"Backne" appearing, what can I do?
    Salutations,

I just turned 16 a few weeks ago, and have a question concerning acne care.

Both of my older brothers (18 and 20) had noticeable acne at my age, but I have been quite lucky - my face is almost completely clear, and my chest and pectorals have a small amount - nothing to worry about.

However, there is relatively more acne on my back. I think that it's increasing, so my question is, is there any way to prevent it from growing?

    Fondly,
    Nat

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do to prevent acne, other than keeping the area clean. Wash it with soap and water, or even a special wash for acne; neutrogena makes a good one. Other than that, just wait it out, it will go away with time.

My youngest son has this problem also and his doctor suggested washing with Ivory Soap. His back is clearing up, but he does shower twice a day.

Acne.org has some information on "Backne" and offers some solutions/regimens:

One thing that helps somewhat is to change the sheets on your bed more often than you do now.

My doctor also recommended taking cooler showers (I've always taken them almost scaldingly hot), as the pores on your body tend to dilate in the heat.

Well, I have "Backnie" Too. It's such a huge pain! I hate It, but what I do Is I use a loofa (back scruber) and use scruber beads in a wash to take the cover off the tops of the acne. It does nt rlly clear it up but It sure does help! It makes it a little smoother. I have very sensitive skin so I can't use ivory soap or some types or lotions so I use the bead wash. hope this helps! God bless. -Kerrigan:)

I also have back acne so went I went to the doctor, she said that the most probable cause was my hair constantly on top of it. If you have long hair, you should keep in up most of the time and see if that helps.
