    Improving Guard Skills
I'm about 5'11/ 16 Yrs / 128lbs and played on Freshman Team last year. I played the #2 Guard and Small Forward.I was a starter at the 2 Guard. I am coming into my Soph. Year looking forward to playing at least as a JV player. I have a decent jumper from mid range to 3pt arc. My competition is really only a friend of mine about the same height/10lbs+ who can shoot just as good as me. I know I can easily jump higher than some people because of only having a 25 in Vert.(which was sort of sad that it was a real high one in Fresh. Year). The thing is, I'd like to become more of a defensive stop which would almost guarantee me a spot as starter because the JV coach loves good D.

I was wondering what could help me play better D and help me get more quick feet? Any help would be appreciated.
