Can a garnsihment be stopped once it has started? Or do I have to let it run its course?

Anything is "possible" but not likely, and it would take a court order to alter, change or stop a garnishment

For example if there was a mistake and it was not you that leglaly owed the money, of you had already paid but they were still doing a garnishment
