    What to do about an old debt
    I got a complaint and notice of suit for an old debt 1995. The original filed date for suit is nov 2006 and I am now just getting this. This debt ia furiture account. I know that that the statue of limitation is expired(georgia).what should I do what steps I am lost and confused do I need to contact the collector. I do not have a court date yet I have 30 days. Should I write some kind of letter or something. Need some help.

    If the statute of limitations is over, then I feel that you have nothing to worry about, however, I would suggest you seek some legal counsel. There are websites/companies that offer free legal advice.

    It's better to be safe than sorry.
