Judgment on amount for car loan not car itself
I am getting ready to file chapter 7. the lender I have my car through filed a judgment for the amount I owe on the car, not the car itself. No where in the judgment do they request the car. So this means they are just reqesting the amoutn right. Also after they finish with the judgment can I file chapter 7 on the judgment.

They will hold the title, so you can never do anything with the car if they don't repo it.
But yes you can file chapter 7 on the amount, most likely the court will require you turn the car over to them, because this debt is on the car.
