    Credit Card of the deceased!
My grandmother is 86 years old. My grandfather had a credit card only in his name and he passed away in 2002. The credit card company started hounding her for the money and took her to court. They had told her that if she sent a copy of a death certificate that they would close the account and everything would be fine. Well they took her to court anyway. The judge ruled in her favor and ruled she did not have to pay them back. She just received a summons for court because the same credit card company is taking her back to court. What should she do?

She should have court documents that releases her from the debt. If you cannot find them, then you have to request them again to get her out of this.

Unless this is an appeal of the verdict in a higher court ( and they have that right) she just needs to file a motion to dismiss since the case has already been heard.
