    Bankruptcy Discharge
My name is christine and I have just finished completing all my plan payments under chapter 13 and was wondering how long does it take before I should expect my discharge paper in the mail. My case was reopened back in January because of a clerical error according to the notice I received from the court. I apparently owed 3 more payments that I completed.
    I am in Los Angeles.

Congratulations on completing your plan! The answer to your question will vary from district to district. The Ch 13 Trustee's office typically completes an audit of the allowed claims, monies paid in, and monies paid out. I saw an article today that said bankruptcies are being filed in record numbers, so your discharge could take a little longer that usual. In what district and what division did you file?
