    Bank garnishment in Florida of SSDI direct deposit?
    A Florida bank held for a couple of days then took my SSDI direct deposit to pay internal bank fees.Is this legal

    They can not garnish ssi but once deposited fees can be debtef to your account

    What you are describing isn't a garnishment. You can't carry a positive balance in a bank account if you owe the bank money. They simply recovered their fees from your account, which is perfectly legal if you incurred them.

    I agree and that was my point. Once money is deposited they can debt fees, it does not matter where the $$ came from
