    $5.00 unpaid bill haunting me
I owed $5.00 on doctor's bill that was delinquent for a few years. I did not have enough cash to pay it at the time and due to negligence on my part, let it go. Called their office to make an appt a year later, and they told me I could not see the doctor due to unpaid bill. Asked to pay it and they said it was too late. I have not been billed for it by a collection agency and wonder what I should do.

    Hi,
If the office where you owe the $5 said it's too late to pay it, it probably has been "written off" by that office.
If a Doctor isn't going to see you because you owe him/her $5, or if that is the office's policy, I would definitely find another Doctor.
Doctor's here in my local area would never dream of not seeing someone over a $5 bill not paid. I do wish you the best.

Many larger doctor offices even have their billing done in separate offices, and often have strict rules. I know my dentist, he was paid over 3000 dollars last year and there was a balance of 75 dollars that was unpaid and I was unable to pay at the time. He would not see me even though I had insurance that would have paid 80 percent of the new bill.

So I just went to another dentist.

So in basics just go find another doctor if this one will not let you pay.

    Wendy,
It probably isn't the $5.00 they have an issue with. I suspect their problem is the negligence. Always explain "why" when you can't pay a bill.

Who is haunting my house? [ 2 Answers ]

We have been living here for 2 years. The energy is mostly in the back bedroom. It is not a negative energy, though sometimes a bit cranky, like the rest of us. I believe it to be a young female. I feel her mostly in the evening. It doesn't really bother me, I'm just curious who and why. My...
