30 days to judgement well actually less oct, 07, 08
My question is simple. If there's a real smart person out there that can answer it.. I am being sued for a credit card debt that I got a long time ago. My last payment was made in feb, 06, 04. Papers from court came in feb, 26, 08. 4yrs is that statue of limitions here in Florida the collection agency hired a lawyer in Florida to sue me the agency is from calif.
My creditor was Bank of america they proved my debt by subpenaing my statements from bof. Is there anything I can do at this point any advice would be helpful. I did hire an attorney an he said it could be thrown out but He wants more an more money ever time I talk to him and hasn't done anything yet and has lost some paperwork to my case and I really don't trust him. The biggest part of this thing is when I got the credit card I was working a good job so was my husband. Iam not employed anymore and my husband is working again for a very good company not as good as in the past but OK. The credit card was in my name and he was a authorized user can they get anything from him if they do sue me and they did put on his credit report that he was an authorized user of this account with a bad mark. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..
