    Can you cash a personal check against a business account or a certificate of deposit in the state of Virginia?

    When you go to a bank to cash a check, they will generally want to use an account held by the person cashing the check in case it bounces. Depending on the bank's policies it may not matter what type of account though it might have to be a liquid account (eliminating a CD as a possibility).
