    A. Tate watercolor signature .
    I have an "A. Tate" signed watercolor (pics attached), and I can't find any artist information. Is anybody familiar with this artist?

    Hi to the both of you

    I had found two: sally ann tate 1908? 1922? conflicting biographies...

    Sally Tate - Images Sally A. Tate

    Sallie Tate Oil Painting

    The painting-girl in blue, sold for approx 325 USD in 2005. Tate is a listed artist.

    You can see her signature fairly clearly at the following link (mouse over the painting):

    I think the signature may be right. Yours may be an early watercolor before she became better known.
