    Identify Oil Painting signature circa 1900
    I have an old painting which looks like oil called A cloudy night circa 1850 1900,it depicts a night scene on a lane with two women and a child ,in the distance a man on a two horse cart and a large house with illuminated window, believed to be British a paper sticker on the back states its title as A cloudy night but I can't find a signature or any other information on this ( I know this is one of a pair as the other one in the family) can anyone help please

I bought a small seascape oil painting from Cornwall about 20 years ago in LOOE. The artist has signed the painting and it looks life Schubert. I tried to upload a picture but did not have the icons available to do it. Does anyone recognise the artist? Thanks
