F. Grayson Sayre Painting
I have this old oil painting signed by F. Grayson Sayre in the bottom Right. The title is "The covered wagon" this is on a plaque attached to the frame.. In the bottom corner it has his signature and GB 2303.
It's darker than the ones I can find on the internet and there are a few spots on the painting where it has been "nicked" or scratched". The spots are very minute, but they are there. This painting is rough, like it was painted on a rough board. The frame has his name on a small "plaque" attached to it, as well as his signature in the bottom corner above the GB 2303 It doesn't appear that the painting has ever been restored, because it is so dark. I know some of his paintings go for a lot, I'm just not sure if this is one of them. |
