    Help me identify this painting and artist -
    See photo of the painting that is oil on canvas and measures 27" x38 1/2" . The signature looks like "Hailo" but I am not sure. It does look old. Other than name there is nothing else written on front or back.

    Sorry can't identify the painting or artist. As you can appreciate, artwork cannot be diagnosed without being 'in hand'. You will have to take it to an art historian if you want more information on this painting.

    Thanks for looking and getting back to me. I live near New Orleans so maybe I can get art historian name there.
