    Hi, loverlin!

The image of the signature is appearing to be fuzzy to me and hard to read. If you could post a clearer image, that might help.

If you could provide a little bit of the history of this painting, i.e. how old it is, if it's yours - where you obtained it, etc, that would also be helpful.

We don't guarantee results here, but we can try!

    Thanks!

I often look for frames at Goodwill stores. (Portland, Or.) Yesterday I found this painting carelessly tossed in a bin with a bunch of other junk. As someone who paints, it pained me to see this being treated like trash. You can see that there was a little damage right around where the gentleman's arm pit is... but very salvageable.
The dust on the back of the frame makes it look like it had been hanging in someone's
Home for a very long time. I have tried over and over to get a good picture of the
Signature but still can't seem to. The "L" in the middle is confusing because I can't
Tell if it is the end of the first name, a middle initial, or the beginning of the last name.

    Hi again, loverlin!

Maybe it's not so important knowing who painted this but rather that you enjoy it. It might be a grandfather with his granddaughter who is holding a doll and him reading a story to her.

From my perspective, it does appear to be quite old. It's something that appeals to me and I would welcome displaying it somewhere in my home.

    Thanks!

I might be able to get an approximate age from someone who would know about dolls.
    Thanks.
