    I have a oil painting signed with the initials JB or JR could anyone identify this signature I think the painting is either 1700 or 1800 and it depicts a Scottish landscape with highland cows and a loch.

    A little impossible without a pic of something, jim. How could we identify with nothing. Even so, initials aren't going to tell you anything.
