Help With A Painting Signature Gibbs? Gibbe?
Hi there I have a very old painting (photographs attached) It is under glass and appears to be a water color, but I am not 100% sure of this. I have not removed the glass. The signature appears to be Gibbs or Gibbe? The scene is of a farmhouse on the banks of a river or stream. The painting is quite large and measures 36" Wide X approx 24" Tall Framed. The painting has been in the same family since the early 1900's. Any help on the artist would be appreciated.

    Hi
I'm writing to ask if you were ever able to identify the artist of this painting as I too have an antique watercolor signed illegibly, either Gibbs or Gibbe.
    Thanks
