Why does my refrigerator work on and off?
My refrigerator is not getting cold, but after being unplugged, and allowing it to sit for a week or more, then after being plugged back in it will work fine. This only works for about 2 to 3 days, then it starts to blow warm, and not get cold anymore. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks.

It could be a number of things but one thing that you can check is the cooling coils in the back of the unit. If these get clogged with debris they tend not to do their job and they will freeze up. Then you will not have any flow through the coils and it will not cool. When that happens you unplug it and it thaws out and then it starts working again. Hope that helps...
