    Whirlpool dishwasher
I have a new Whirlpool Dishwasher model DU1055XTSQ which I have only had for about one month. It has been installed for three weeks. It has not been drying the dishes and silverware properly. The service attendant has been here twice. He called Whirlpool service and they instructed him to open the baffle on the left side only of the vent in front of the machine. It now dries the dishes and knives except for some cups which have a ridge on the base which traps the water. Also, the interior of the machine particularly the main door remains fairly wet. Is this normal? I run the heated drying cycle when I run the machine. On my old GE machine everything was dry inside after having completed a cycle.

I also have a whirlpool dishwasher. There is always water anywhere there is a ridge or a dip or recessed area. Bottoms of cups, pot handles, etc. I'm pretty sure that's normal. The heated drying cycle would be comparable to a hot day outside. If you run your hose, anywhere where the water puddles up will be the last to dry. Sounds like your dishwasher is fixed to me.

For quite a while now our Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III hasn't been working properly. It seems to clean the dishes fine but there is always water on them when the cycle is done. The "sanitized" light flashes instead of being a solid green light. Also, the cycle takes about three hours. I...
