Washing cycle will not complete without...
My washer stops after the agitation cycle is complete. I find my clothes standing in water. If I open the lid and close it, it will start to drain and the cycle will compete as if it had never stopped at all. It seems to me that the lid switch is the problem. Sometimes when the cycle has stopped, I apply gentle pressure on the top of the lid where the lid swith is and the cycle starts up again and finishes. The switch is secured tightly and it clicks without problem when I test it. What do you?

Is it being depressed completely by the lid? If not replace the depressor if it has one or some switchs themselves are adjustable. The switch doest not cost much at all if you have to replace it.

My Kenmore washer will go through the wash cylce but when it reaches the spin cycle the water will drain out but will not spin out. I did replace the motor isolation cupling, but that did not take care of the problem. I'm thinking that the control magnet could be the culprit. Any thoughts?? LAJ
