    Washer will not spin
I have a Kenmore 70 series washing machine. When it gets to the spin cycle it stops. It goes through the wash cycle. What should I do to get it to spin?

I had similar problem with my Kenmore washer. I found the door (lid) safety switch was not working. I jumpered out the switch and It worked. Here is how it did it.

    1. Unplug the power from the washer.
    2. Locate the door switch. This switch has two wires on it. Temporarily bypass the switch using wire nut or jumper to short the two wire on the switch together.
    3. Test the washer.
If it works then replace the switch ( I just shorted out the switch and bypass this safety feature. Not recommended )
    I hope this helps.

Check the lid switch. If it is bad, replace. As hajt70 mentioned you can jumper around it for test purpose only. If not the problem, post back for further help
