    Thermostat keeps going blank
My house was 60 degrees the thermostat said heat was on but we had no air blowing. I turned the furnace off and on and it fired up. In a couple of minutes I had heat but now the thermostat is blank. After 5 minutes or so The heat turned off and the thermostat came back on and said the heat was on. It keeps cycling like this over and over. It's a carrier gas forced air w/ honeywell thermostat.

Thermostat that goes blank [ 6 Answers ]

We got Honeywell thermostat that goes blank, digital screen, while the heat is on. If we want to increase or decrease the level we have to push button several times and wait until the display comes on and then we can change the setting. Is the thermostat bad? Why it would go blank?
