I have a Kenmore ultrawash dishwasher with a start button that will not function. All the other buttons light up and seem to work properly but the start button does not. It will drain and the motor works. Tried pushing heated dry/heated wash repeatedly, which did get it to start filling with water and it then ran on a "heavy wash" cycle, but it seemed to just run the wash cycle, then never rinsed and shut off because the water left on the tops of the cups was cloudy, as if the detergent was still in the final water. ALso tried unplugged for 50 or so seconds, then plugging back in and shutting door. Nothing. We've had this problem before and had a technician out to fix the control panel, to the tune of close to $150 so if we have to go that route again, I'd rather just get a dishwasher that doesn't need servicing every couple years! Not a fan of Sears at the moment.
