    Rheem furnace blower motor won't turn on
    My furnace blower motor will not turn on. The troubleshooting guide says to replace blower motor but the diagnostics says the Limit Switch is Open any ideas

    You could bypass the limit switch to see if that is the problem shut down all power to furnace take the wires off the limit switch get yourself a piece of wire and connect one end of the wire to one of the wires to switch and the other end to the other wire via wire nuts or insulated alligater clips restore power then turn it to heat if it comes on you know it was your limit switch.

    You may test the system by doing a by-PASS get a piece of wire and put one end to the red wire and the other end to the green that will start the fan is the air flows then you have a defectiv thermostat ( replace it ) if blower does not start try putting the same wire into the (y) yellow wire. IMPORTANT, remember that some equipment comes with a delay mode so hold the wires for a minute or so.
