On a refrigerator door, which is weighing 30 kg, need to calculate torque for hinges
I have a refrigerator of capacity 30 Cu. Ft.
On this a double pane glass door is mounted, weighing 30 Kg
There are two hinges to mount this door on cabinet, with 3 screws on each hinge.

Need to calculate the min. torque required in the screws so that while opening/closing of door torsional movement of hinges could be avoided.

    Cabinet dim. (W 34" x D 30" x H 62") (Foamed cabinet)
    Door dim. (W 33" x D 1.55" x H 61") (Double pane glass door)
    Wt of door 68 lbs
Hinge axis point (Screw mounting hole center to Hinge pin center) 2.785"
    Hinge material mild steel

Just tighten until snug. You don't torque down screws because you will strip the threads off. Most have three threaded holes in a plate under the sheet metal.

Yes. This isn't the crankshaft bearing in a big block Chevy Engine. Just tighten them as snug as you can by hand without over doing it. Check them for tightness after a couple of weeks. You may want to employ some "LokTite" to the threads.
