    Range problem
    I have a Jennair model # 89353 and am trying to wire it to 240 volts. I need really to know which wire is which in the hook up, which is L1 which is L2 and which is neutral. Any help would be hot.

    Typically, black and red are the hots, and white is the neutural, with green for ground.

    If your cord is a three prong, then black and red are the two 120 volt leads, with white being the neutural.

    If you have a 4 prong, then the fourth line will be ground, strap this to the chassis of the range, normally the manufacterer provides a grounding lug on the appliance.
