    Problems with the a/c
I live in an apartment that is generally old. My ac unit will not cool past 80 degrees at certain times of the day. I have the unit set to 70 all the time. In the evening after 10 pm until about 12 noon it feels much cooler in here. The problem is that I am home during the hours of discomfort. I am 7 months pregnant and miserably hot. The maintenance. Guy says there is nothing wrong with it... and I live on the top floor so it will be hotter upstairs. I asked my next door neighbor and she said her unit cools at all times of the day. What are my rights as a renter if they don't fix my problem. More importantly do I have a problem with the ac unit or am I just being a pesky pregnant woman?

They say generally that a cooling temp is between 75 and 80. New condos are set for that and I do agree, it is acceptable for me and I can't stand the heat. Your body temp could be running hotter because of pregnancy.

My AC is set for 22c which is 75F and it generally stays around that and is quite comfortable. We follow the guidelines for not overdoing our resources. I don't need it colder then 22c.
