    Mine does not make any noise when you open or close the lid.
    My washer will aggitate but will not spin with or with out water. When I open the lid, it does not make the clicking sound at all.

    So, your thinking the door switch might be bad? I think you might be right.
    Or the piece on the lid that works the switch might be broken. Good luck
