    Maytag plus side by side problems
    My side by side has an accumulation of ice on the bottom of the freezer side. I have also noticed that frequently there is a small puddle on the floor below the freezer side. Any ideas?

    You have problems with the defrost circuit. Remove cover to freezer coils and you can usually see if defrost heater is burned in two. It's a coil in a glass tube most of the time. If that's the problem replace the heater and the terminator, which is a round t-stat wired in series with heater and mounted on the coil.     You also have a defrost timer, but check the heater, first.

    The ice on the freezer side is on the inside. Didn't mention that. Still the same thought?
