    Maytag neptune mdg4000bww dryer
Ok I've got a Maytag Dryer, that will not heat up, I've pulled the cover off, and check to see if the igniter is firing up properly, sure does, I thought it might be the gas valve solenoid, but if that were the case, no gas would go through, however I open the door (I put it back on with the cover off) and inside of the tumbler smells like gas, the exhaust is fine, something is not quite right and can't figure it out... any suggestions hint would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a flame, then either your vent line is plugged with lint (probable), or your thermostat has failed (not as probable). If the thermostat fails, the gas will shut off fairly quickly. Otherwise, I think you need to pull apart the vent line and clean it out.

My Maytag Neptune dryer doesn't dry cloths. It tumbles but seems no air enters the dryer. Can't tell if it is a problem with the thermistor, fan or heating element. How do I go about troubleshooting the problem.
