    Maytag dryers troubleshooting
I have four Maytag gas dryers side by side in a laundry room at a retirement community housing facility.
All dryers are Model # MDG16PDAWW
The issue is that while one dryer is being used, the one beside it that is "not" being used collect's water in the drum, sometimes as much as a cup!

Before calling the repair tech from the leasing company, I pulled all dryers away from the wall, detached all venting, cleaned and inspected all venting. In the process I noticed that all ridged venting had been installed from dryer to the exhaust termination at about a 2 to 3 % grade level with the termination at a higher level than the starting point that it starts to exhaust.

When the problem continued to occur, I called the technician out and his explination of the problem was that the exhaust vent terminations are too small!
And said that I need to cut in larger exhaust terminations in the building..

The problem I have with this is that the vents are already terminating into two 8"x8" vent hoods. Two 4" vents venting into each one, which in my mind and according to all lititure is correctly vented and I do not want to cut holes in the building if at all possible.

    Any ideas?

What you need is something to keep the exhaust from going into other dryer. You should be able to find this at any good sheet metal supply house. Four 4" ducts does need more than an 8" outlet. Only two dryers should be on one 8" opening. You need to cut at least 1 more hole.
