Lint on Clothes from Washer - how avoid?
My washer always leaves lint all over my clothers. It has a build-in lint catcher in the tub would cannot be cleaned. Some comes off in the dryer but most of the clothes that catch the most link cannot be put in the dryer. Any ideas how to limit bad lint?

What brand and model washer do you own. I have not run into a lint screen that isn't cleanable.

I have an Estate (Whirlpool) washer that is about 10 years old. The lint screen is supposedly build into the tub itself and a repairman told me you could not get to it.

The repairman meant you can't reach it easily. Part Detail You can alo buy the repair manual for about $17.

No. I asked the repair man to clean it out and he said it was not possible.

I am sorry and do not want to sound argumentative but they sell a filter that snaps in place without tools. Maybe the reapairman was not familiar with Whirpools. Have you opens the link I gave earlier?

NO - the newer washes do not have the filters that sit on top any longer.

So you have rated my assistance to you as "inaccurate" but please tell me where the inaccuracy is rather than just trying to punish someone who volunteers his time to help folks who do not know an answer and ask for help. I see this is your first time here asking a question, is this how you will react in the future if you don't like hearing what we say?

I am sorry. I asked a question, hoping to get some tips, but you seem to be telling me that the details of what I am telling you are incorrect. I don't find this helpful. You have not given me any answers to how I can solve my problem. I thought that was the purpose of the site? I also assumed the ratings are for a purpose. If not then I apologize and I will cancel my registration.

No need to cancel from the desk. You are welcome to stay and ask any question you want and maybe even answer question you see in your field. I wasn't disgreeing with you but I do disgree with your repairman. He told you something I believe is incorrect. I offered you a link to get a repair manual and/or a replacement part. You said your machine is 10 years old but later told me newer machines do not have a filter on top so I was confused by that. As I stated earlier I have never run into s screen that could not be replaced or repaired.
