Kenmore Model 106.56592500

Both the fridge and freeze is always too cold. I have the setings at the warmest setting, #1, for both fridge and freeze. I have to be very careful about dust buildup under the coils or everything freezes. We clean out under the fridge every 2 months and find little dirt or dust. To date it has been OK but the wife is tired of solid icecream, slushy milk and frozen fruits.

I remember there was a voluntary recall or tech bulletin after we first bought it but that was a while ago. It had something to do with the placement or type of thermostat? Any help warming up our home would be nice. Fridge works great but acts like a freezer more than a fridge.

Just some more info; freezer is almost consistent 4-7 degrees and fridge stays at about 34. Not sure how the milk is freezing at these temps but maybe when compressor runs it is too cold then when it is off it warms up again? I got it to balance a little with control at bottom for meat/veggie balance slide. I think the thermostat for the freezer may be the bad part but I am not sure. It appears to balance well between freezer and fridge but the freeze is too cold. No defrosting issues just too cold everywhere.
