Kenmore Oven Light won't shut off
The Oven bulb in our 2001 flat top Kenmore Range burnt out and when I put a new appliance bulb in, it will not shut off. Anyone ever had a similar problem?

I have found the problem and decided to post it in case someone runs into the same problem. While the old bulb was out,my wife cleaned the oven with oven cleaner and until this dryed out of the socket, the new bulb just stayed on. It works fine now.
