    Kenmore he3 dryer buttons don't work
    I have a kenmore he3 dryer. The drum light comes on when you open the door, but nothing else works. When you push a button on the control panel no lights light up, nothing. I am thinking that it may be a bad control board but would really appreciate some input on this matter if someone else has had the same problem.

    First before codeming the board check the termal fuse. If it is bad you will have these symptoms

    I was under the impression that the thermal fuse would not affect the operation of the control panel. I did check the thermal fuse and it seems to be fine, however my lights and buttons on the control panel do not seem to be getting power. The drum light still operates, and I am getting power to the electronics control circuit board, but no lights on my control board.

    On a related note I did notice that there was some white build up, possibly corrosion? On my control board printed circuit. Has anyone heard of this causing a problem before?

I have had the dryer for about 3 years. When you try to dry clothes as soon as it gets hot it will shut off. I have taken the front off and cleaned it out. However I did not find enough that should cause a problem. :confused:
