Kenmore Elite smartwash quietpak4 error message F11
Had an electrician out to work on an AC problem. He opened the circuit breaker box to replace the circuit to the H&AC. After he left, I went to do a load of laundry. Loaded the machine and when I pushed "POWER" the circuit breaker for the washing machine tripped. I then got a message for F11. I got the manual and followed directions to "Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Select Drain & Spin if there is excessive water in the washer. (There wasn't...I just turned it on.) Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service." I did and the problem remained. I then tried to unplug the machine for 10 minutes, re-plug it and I still got the F11 message after I push power and it began a cycle. I called for repairs and was given 2 options: $129 covers all labor & no parts; $319 cover labor & parts up to $500. Is this problem serious enough to warrant going for the $319 option? Could this has "blown" the motor? Any suggestions to fix this problem. I am a widowed senior on social security and any help would be appreciated.
