    Kenmore Dishwasher
My dishwasher recently tripped my circuit breaker and my dishwasher was stuck in dry mode. I reset the circuit breaker and it kept getting stuck in the dry cycle. My spin device in the bottom of the dishwasher melted to the heating coil so I replaced the spinner. I then repaired the timing motor so it goes through the complete cleaning cycle. Now, I have no water coming from spinner and dishes remain dry and dirty. I hear water running into dishwasher and it does drain properly.

    Whew... what a mouthfull.

Are you talking about the wash arm when referring to the spin device?

That thing melted to the element? Holy cow.

Well, it sounds like your element probobly fried. Maybe got WAY to hot and melted the plastic wash arm. Now you say no water is coming out of that.

It sounds like your dishwasher needs a complete overhaul.

If I were you I would check to make sure the pump is running. Make sure there is no melted plastic or other debris keeping water from entering the wash arm. If the thing got that hot, its possible it could have melted the pump impeller. Requiring a new impeller, and possibly pump motor.

Its probobly tripping the breaker in dry mode because I would say that either a wire to the element has shorted to ground, or the element itself. There is a good chance this could have damanged to contacts on the timer.

Of course Im listing the worst case scenario here.

I don't normally suggest this, God knows I hate replacing whole machines, I take pride in fixing them, but given the cost of this repair, a replacement of the whole dishwasher might be more economical.

Although you can always fix it just for the fun of it, that's what I'd probobly do anyway.
