I was running my Kenmore 80 series washer and when it came to the spin cycle the water would drain, but it would not spin and is making a kind of clicking sound. RE: kenmore 70 series model 110.20712990 Type 111 top load washer. Won't spin. Humming noise and a little burning/hot smell when supposed to be spinning. Bypassing the lid switch did not correct the problem. Changed out the motor coupling with no luck... still a humming noise but no smell.

I have an 80 Series Kenmore washer, model number 110.29892990 that will not spin. The washer makes noise like it wants to spin but does not. The water is still draining. Replace or repair? If repair, how?

My washer fills up with water and then make a loud pounding/clicking type sound when it supposed to aggitate. It drains and makes the same sound during the rinse cycle.
