Kenmore 70 series washing machine filled up but the makes a humming noise and will no
The washer filled up with water, like normal, but then it would not run. The agitator would not start and there is this loud humming noise. You can hear a click like it is going to start, but then it stops the noise for a moment and then you hear the click again and the humming starts again.

Hi, I have a Kenmore washing machine 70 series... it fills with water (normal). However, throughout the agitate cycle it sounds like a LOUD tractor, followed by humming with no motion at the spin cycle and won't drain. It is direct drive & there's no leaking oil. Any advice for me? Thanks!
I put a wool bath mat in it which disintegrated in the washer. After that the machine doesn't agitate and although it empties the water the clothes are still really wet
