    Jenn-Air JSD2789DES frig. Water filter bypass plug falls out dispensing water
    I have a Jenn-Air JSD2789DES refrigerator. After installing the water filter bypass plug, the moment I try to dispense water, the plug snaps out. I have tried installing it several times and I get the same results. I am sure the plug is installed correctly. Please help.

    Apparently you need to bypass the filter with tubing.

    It is supposed to work just by installing the water filter plug. However, the moment I try to dispense water, the plug snaps out. I do not understand what causes the plug to push out.

    Your plug is either not seated properly or is defective. See part 27 on this schematic

    Whirlpool EDR7D1 - FILTER7, SINGLE | PartSelect

    As you see the plug fits in the part (And over the threads for the filter) and must be twisted to lock it in place so examine both to see why it cannot be retained properly with part 27.

I have a 4 1/2 year old Jenn-Air side by side fridge. The water dispenser was trickling water so we got a new line and new filter. Now it makes a loud noise and still trickles.

When you first hit dispensor for water it comes out fast every time but immediately slows to a trickle. Filter has been replaced and even bypassed with bypass plug provided. Have read about icing problem but we have flow it is just very slow. Have cheked line into frig and pressure is strong.

Sorry, I don';t know the refrigerator model and I know that my filter needs replacement. The crushed ice and cubed ice buttons work when selected. But when I select the water button no water will dispense. The lines look fine. Could an old filter cause the water to not be dispersed?? Thanks,
