    And your question is what?

If you want someone to do it for you, you will have to find someone local to you to do it. Because we don't offer those services here.

If you have a question you need to ask it.

Thanks. My newbie question got away from me. I want to know how the Corian is protected from heat from a range when the countertop abuts the range. Is that little bit of heat shield tape that is placed about 3/8" below countertop height really all that is needed?

The top and sides of a range intended for residential use typically won't get that hot AND additionally because there will be a small gap. It won't be butted hard against the counter top.

There are exceptions to that rule... certain types of ranges like Viking units intended for use in a commercial environment ( and create a LOT more btu's), that people with an excess of money tend to favor. They will be spaced a lot farther from the wall than in a house... and counters and shelves near them would be stainless steel... not plastic and wood. Corian is plastic... just very NICE plastic.

I'm assuming a standard type of range like you would buy for a house.

Range Hood Microwave install [ 1 Answers ]

Hi, I am replacing a standard range hood with a microwave and have a problem. I agree that it was way to low, so I took a few inches off the cabinet and it seems to be an OK height, but it is deeper than the cabinets so it sticks out and blocks the range top. I only need a few inches. ...
