    Icemaker is not making ice
    I have a maytag refrigerator, side by side. We can get water but cannot get ice. Please help

    Did it ever make ice?
    If so, then it could be that the water inlet is frozen.

    Is there ice in the maker that just hasn't been dumped into the bin? Reach up in there and see if there is ice or an empty ice tray.

    It could also be that the valve for the icemaker has gone bad. It is a separate valve from the water dispenser.

    These are my first thoughts.

    You have a dual water valve. You can reverse the leads on it to verify if it's bad to the icemaker side or check with multimeter. Both sides should read 200-400 ohms. If it is confirmed good, more than likely the icemaker itself has gone bad (not uncommon) YOu can replace the intire incemake or just the module. After replacing it takes about 24 hrs to get your first harvest of ice.
