    How old is my dryer?
    I cannot find a date code for my Whirlpool clothes dryer model # LHE5800W0. :confused: I think it is really old, but I am not sure. Can anyone help?

    I cannot find a date of manufacture for it... or a date in the owner manual.
    I'd give them a call (see last page of the owner manual) and ask them when it was manufactured.

    Thanks Rick, I will do so. We were able to fix it (heating element) so we are keeping it anyway. The repairman said he thinks it is from the 1970's but is an awesome dryer because it doesn't have the thermal fuse that can constantly break on newer versions. Anyway, thanks for answering!
